Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) has announced notification to conduct Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) Exam 2020. Eligibility Conditions:- 

(1) Nationality:- No person who is not a citizen of India shall, except with the consent of the Central
Government signified in writing be appointed or employed under these Rules.
Provided that nothing contained in these rules shall debar the appointment, enrolment or employment
of a subject of Nepal or Bhutan under these Rules.
(2) Sex:- Both Male and Female candidates are eligible for appointment to the post of Assistant Commandants.
(3) Age Limits:-
(a) A candidate must have attained the age of 20 years and must not have attained the age of 25 years on 1st August, 2020, i.e. he/she must have been born not earlier than 2nd August, 1995 and not later than 1st August, 2000.
(b) The upper age limit prescribed above will be relaxable.
(i) upto a maximum of five years if a candidate belongs to a Scheduled Caste or a Scheduled Tribe.
(ii) upto a maximum of three years in the case of candidates belonging to Other Backward Classes who are eligible to avail of reservation applicable to such candidates.
(iii) upto a maximum of five years for Civilian Central Government Servants in accordance with the existing instructions of the Central Government. Ex-Servicemen will also be eligible for this relaxation. However the total relaxation claimed on account of Government Service will be limited to five years.

(4)Educational Qualifications:- A candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree of a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or possess an equivalent qualification.

(5)Restriction on re-appearance of candidates finally selected/ recommended earlier:- A candidate who has been finally selected on the basis of an earlier examination to the post of Assistant Commandants in any of the forces participating in the Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) Examination will not be eligible to appear at a subsequent examination for recruitment of Assistant Commandants in the participating CAPFs.

2.For SC/ ST/ Female: NIL

7. Physical Standards:- Candidates must meet the prescribed physical and medical standards for admission to Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) Examination.

UPSC CPF (Assistant Commandants) Exam Pattern Details:-

Written Examination:- There are two papers in the UPSC CPF Written Exam.

Paper I:- General Ability and Intelligence – 250 Marks
Paper I consists of Objective (Multiple Answers) Type questions and questions will be set in English as well as Hindi. There is negative mark will be cut for each wrong answer.
Paper II:- General Studies, Essay and Comprehension – 200 Marks
In this paper candidates will be allowed the option of writing the Essay Component in English or Hindi, but the medium of Precis Writing, Comprehension Components and other communications/ language skills will be in English.

NOTE:- There will be minimum qualifying marks separately in each papers as may be fixed by the commission in their discretion. Paper I will be evaluated first and evaluation of Paper II will be done only of those candidates who obtain the minimum qualifying marks in Paper I.

UPSC CPF(AC) Selection Process:-

Central Police Forces (CPF) (Assistant Commandants) Examination conducts by Union Public Service Commission for different central forces in India namely SSB, BSF, ITBP, CISF, CRPF selection process details:-

CPF (Central Police Force) Selection Procedure consists of 3 stages:-
1. Written Examination
2. Physical Standards Test/ Physical Efficiency Test/ Medical Standards Test
3. Interview/ Personality Test

1. Written Examination:- The written examination to be conducted by Union Public Service Commission will comprise two papers. Paper I & Paper II.

Paper I:- General Ability and Intelligence – 250 Marks

Physical Efficiency Tests (PET):-

1. Male:- 100mtrs race in 16 seconds and 800mtrs race in 3 minuts 45 seconds

2.Female:- 100mtrs race in 18 seconds and 800mtrs race in 4 minuts 45 seconds

3.Male:- Long Jump- 3.5 Meters (3 chances)

4.Female:- Long Jump 3.0 Meters (3 chances)

5.Male:- shot-put (7.26 kgs) 4.5 meters

6.Female:- shot-put (7.26 kgs) Nil
